Le mouvement «The Turning» (le virage) prend naissance en 2016: Après une prophétie, l’Eglise baptiste The Gate à Reading (UK) vit une évangélisation «boostée»: 1850 réponses après 4 semaines de «mission», dont 70% des gens qui ont donné leur adresse.
En 2017, Bob Davet (NewLife Morges) et Philippe Gay se rendent à Lille (F) pour une mission avec l’équipe de Reading: ils constatent les mêmes fruits et décident d’inviter en Suisse le pasteur Yinka Oyekan, fondateur du mouvement.
Les seules dates possibles pour lui tombent sur Transvision! Yinka témoigne de ce qu’ils vivent aux 300 pasteurs réunis.
Le 13 février 2018, une équipe de lancement en Suisse romande se crée avec Bob Davet, Philippe Gay, Philippe Bottemanne, Sylvette Huguenin, Christian Kuhn et Philippe Thueler.
En lien avec le Réseau évangélique, ces responsables romands ont évalué différents mouvements :
- Qui répondent à notre souci de re-développer l’évangélisation
- Qui développent parallèlement le discipulat un à un (car seul un très petit pourcentage des gens contactés dans la rue viennent rapidement dans une Église établie)
- Qui cherche à travailler avec les Églises réunies
- Qui aient un certain rayonnement géographique et offrent des ressources
The “Turning” movement began in 2016 where a Baptist Church, The Gate in Reading (UK) saw an increase in evangelization: 1850 responses after 4 weeks of “mission”.
In 2017, Bob Davet (NewLife Morges) and Philippe Gay go to Lille (F) for a mission with the Reading team: they see the same fruits and decide to invite pastor Yinka Oyekan, the founder of the Turning, to Switzerland. The only possible dates for him fall on ‘Transvision’! Yinka testifies what they have seen in England and Lille to the 300 pastors together.
On February 13, 2018, a launch team in French-speaking Switzerland was created with Bob Davet, Philippe Gay, Philippe Bottemanne, Sylvette Huguenin, Christian Kuhn and Philippe Thueler.
In connection with the Evangelical Network, these Romandan leaders evaluated the various parts of the Turning which include:
- Who respond to our desire to re-develop evangelization
- Who develop a tool for one-to-one discipleship (because only a very small percentage of the people contacted in the street come quickly to an established church)
- Who seeks to work with the churches together
- Who have a certain geographical influence and offer resources

Mettre sur pied en Suisse romande 2 semaines d’évangélisation, une au nord et l’autre au sud en automne 2019. Selon les vacances scolaires, le nord regroupe les cantons de BE, JU, NE et le sud VD, GE, VS, FR. Durant ces deux semaines, les missions alternent des soirées centralisées de préparation, adoration, formation et témoignages et des journées durant lesquelles les participants vont partager l’Evangile en petits groupes dans leur région.
Set up in French-speaking Switzerland 2 weeks of evangelization, one in the north and the other in the south in autumn 2019. According to the school holidays, the north brings together the cantons of BE, JU, NE and the south VD, GE, VS, EN. During these two weeks, the missions alternate centralized evenings of preparation, adoration, formation and testimonies and days during which the participants will share the Gospel in small groups in their region.
