Jesus

who is he?

God has a plan for you and your life, He loves you and He made you—on purpose, with a purpose. He knows you need help. He knows you can’t do it on your own. That’s why He sent Jesus.

You don’t have to measure up to some impossible religious standard to know God—you can’t, only Jesus can. Jesus brings meaning and purpose to all the struggles you’re facing. You don’t have to be good enough, clean up your act, or follow some super-spiritual checklist before you accept that God loves you.

Next Steps

Prayed to Jesus?

Did you meet and pray with someone on the streets and are wondering what are the next steps?

God

loves us.

God loves you and has amazing plans for your life. God reaches out in love to you and wants you to be His child. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

We

have sinned.

God is perfect and holy and we are not. Our sins separate us from God forever. The Bible says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). As humans we do not measure up to His perfect standard. We are sinful, and “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).

Jesus

paid the price.

God’s love bridges the gap of separation between you and Him. Jesus is the Son of God. He lived a sinless life and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. “God demonstrates His own love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

The Choice

is yours.

You cross the bridge into God’s family when you accept Christ’s free gift of salvation. The choice is yours, God longs for you to know Him and know you’re loved. God promises “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).

To receive Christ, a person needs to do 4 things:

  • Admit you have sinnned.
  • Ask forgiveness and be willing to turn away from your sins.
  • Believe that Christ died for you on the cross.
  • Receive Christ into your heart and life.

Romans 10:13 says, “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” Here’s a prayer you can pray to receive Christ:

“Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord.  Forgive me of my sins, wash me and change me.

Jesus, I believe you died for me.  Thank you that rose from the dead and now pray for me from heaven. Help me to live for you and fulfil everything you have called me to do.

I thank you that I am now forgiven and on my way to heaven.

In Jesus name, AMEN”
